The aim of the project „AdvantAge” was to ease the communication gap between the generations. In the 21st century our lives have gone through a lot of changes, and the rate of these changes are accelerating. Society is aging in an accelerating rate. Rapid changes in our lives are widening the gap between generations. Baby boomers, people born after the II. World War, between 1946-1964, and the X generation don’t understand the Y and Z generation. Reactions of generations are different as a response at the same event. Their moral approach is different of the same event and the world in general. The habits, the values of the societies are rapidly changing. People with different scales of values are living together, without understanding each other. Difference in point of views are leading to conficts, and the discrimination because of age is typical in our society. This kind of discrimination and lack of communication between the other generations are typical. Our society must recognize and deal with these problems coming from the difference of generations. Based on the research conducted by us and our project partners we agreed that our society needs youth workers who are well equipped with knowledge and tools to be able to handle these phenomenons. The aim of the project was to show the methods to the youth workers which will help them in their work with intergenerational issues. In order to help the mutual acceptance between generations, using the advantages of nonformal learning we encouraged the representatives of different age groups to participate in events together, to improve the communication and understanding each other. During the active, personal attendance in the project we have equipped the youth workers with the required knowledge and good practices, methods in order to help them in their future work. With these knowledge they are able to help to improve the connection within the different age groups, to accept the values of each other. Reaching this goal the project improves the solidarity in the society, improves the european mobility, in harmony with the fundamental aims of the Erasmus+.
