"Changing Society - New Ways of Inclusion" is an Erasmus+ youth project consisting of two interrelated mobility activities (training course for youthworkers / TC and a youth exchange / YE), which aims to learn, discuss about migration in the EU and neighboring countries. Mobility of youth workers was held between 11-18 May 2022 in Budapest, Hungary and the youth exchange took place in the city of Kemer/Antalya, Turkey between 1-8 September 2022. Our main goal is to inform young people and youth workers and make them aware of the needs of migrants, in relation to refugees and asylum seekers, in order to encourage the newcomers to integrate into European society. We wanted the participants to use all new knowledge and information upon returning home to promote the integration of refugees and immigrants, and to become more sensitive to the problem. At the training, the participants were enriched with good practices, methods, and ways of seeing, which they can apply in their daily life/work and keep in mind when they return home, and ultimately contribute to the acceptance of immigrants coming to their country. During the sessions, the participants familiarized themselves with the internal and external migration processes of their countries, the relevant national strategies and policies, the difficulties that arise, their integration and assistance programs, and shared good practices with each other. The various exercises contributed to the development of the professional and personal skills of the participants to a great extent, and to the increase of their active citizenship aspirations. All original main objectives of the project have been met: - Raising the attention of young people regarding migration, increasing their awareness; - General overview of EU migration policy; - Encouraging non-formal learning and leadership skills; - Encouraging the idea of social integration and peacemaking; - Encouraging the active participation of young people and youth workers in inclusion and social processes; - Sharing and presenting the migration challenges, experiences and best practices of each country; - Promoting tolerance, solidarity and intercultural dialogue between countries; - Providing information about Erasmus+ projects and encouraging future cooperation between the participating organizations. The objectives of the training and youth exchange program were harmoniously aligned with the general objectives of Erasmus+, in particular in terms of building an active and participatory society and promoting a common sense of European citizenship and identity.
