GAiming Our Future (Co-op) was a project that aimed to address the shocking lack of social inclusion in local communities and the issue of youth unemployment. Due to the economic consequences of Covid-19, it was more important than ever to develop our soft skills to enter the job market or create our own jobs. Similarly, during the economic and social upheaval (as a result of Covid-19), diversity as a value was pushed back. The project wanted to remind youth how important it was to be open and inclusive towards each other. Through different non-formal educational activities, such as games, gamified activities, group work, discussion, presentation, research, role-playing, experiential learning, body movements, theatre, journaling, open space activities, and reflections, participants of the project improved their key competences and developed a more inclusive behaviour and attitude. Gradually empowering the participants during the youth exchange allowed them to become multipliers of these skills and values, thus young people in their local communities also saw good examples and started developing themselves. In addition to fostering intercultural understanding and sensitivity as a skill, the project aimed to gain a deeper insight into the participating countries' cultures and improve the self-reflection of youngsters to support their development and lifelong learning.
