The creation of moments of artistic, cultural and recreational aggregation is the ultimate goal of Jamoo. Jamoo is a different idea of territory and environment, an idea according to which art and culture play a predominant role in the process of changing our little piece of the world. Jamoo is a network of people committed to the purpose of giving a concrete push to the stagnant situation of our land, committed to running against inertia, to overcome it. This is our motto in fact: "Jamoo is me but it is above all you: if my purpose is important to you, you can be part of this idea. Together in concert." The idea of this project was indeed born because our desire is to expand our objectives internationally. This project is our first active intervention in the world of Erasmus+. We have decided that this will be the first international leap, in order to bring our work with the young people of the area to create a strong impact and bring a great change here in San Ferdinando di Puglia. The aim of the project is to promote positive and inclusive social values in the society of young people and at the same time to promote arts and music as a tool for action. This project will promote the value of the fight against racism and music as a tool to deliver a message of value. Through music and the promotion of it, participants and users will be able to expand the message of the fight against racism. The idea also came to us together with our partners as we got to know them during the participation of an Erasmus + Youth Exchange, as together with them we were observing the "Black Lives Matter" movement and the events that generated it. This international activist movement, originating within the African American community, committed to the fight against racism has inspired us to put our skills at the service of the community and join forces to cooperate in favor of the promotion of inclusive culture. What could be better than music to unite and include everyone? The title of our project is in fact inspired by this movement, the project is called "Lives that Matter", because our intent is to promote the value of life and everyone's life. Through the project we aim to achieve the following objectives: - promote active participation in society and the inclusion of all young people; - help and support young people in achieving skills, values and attitudes important for the development of a democratic society; - promote the principles of Erasmus +: tolerance, respect for other cultures, respect for human rights; - promotion of values and knowledge about the European Union and the competences of the YouthPass; - use the arts and the media as a means to achieve positive goals for society; - promote music as a tool to raise awareness on social issues; - improve the participants' musical technical knowledge; - develop young people's motivation and sense of responsibility for mutual understanding and the fight against discrimination and exclusion in a comprehensive way; - stimulate the initiative of young people; - create a new song that unites the cultures and backgrounds of the participants, promote it to fight discrimination, social exclusion, racism; The project will follow a non-formal methodology through workshops, debates, group work, brainstorming, presentations, while offering artistic and musical workshops, in order to promote other ways of learning, peer-to-peer cooperation and intercultural learning. The results of the project will also be collected in a song that will be made during the Youth Exchange and promoted following it, it will be a combination of the music of each of the 5 different countries, which collects and expresses a message against racism. Participants will present the outcome of the workshops to the public in a creative, dynamic and innovative way through the final flashmob that will take place during the Youth Exchange.
