Objectives

The "Multicultural Film Production" project is an ambitious and significant initiative that aims to take advantage of the current popularity of film and video among young people to create a context for cultural and artistic exchange. With the participation of young people from different European nations, the goal is to tell episodes and situations with a universal language, using the medium of video as an expressive vehicle. The choice of Palermo as the location for the workshop is crucial because the city has a history rich in cultural diversity and an important tradition of exchanges between different peoples. This multicultural aspect is at the heart of the project and is reflected in the core values shared with the European Union. Among these values are: - the value of encounter - acceptance of one's neighbor - respect for diversity and heterogeneity - the value of integration - the appreciation of collective effort - teamwork. A key objective of the project is to enhance the talents of young participants by providing them with tools and techniques in the field of film production. This training "gymnasium" is intended to be accessible and free of charge, enabling young people, especially those who find themselves in situations of socio-economic-cultural disadvantage, to hone their skills and open themselves up to new opportunities in a historical context in which youth employment is scarce and young people often find it difficult to realize their potential. The workshop aims to be a comprehensive training experience, acting on two levels: the human and personal level, fostering encounters between different cultures and the enhancement of collective commitment, and the professional level, providing skills and knowledge in the field of film production. This project is a testament to the commitment of the three associations involved in promoting social and cultural change through investment in young people. Only through the support and encouragement of the younger generation can we hope to change socio-cultural contexts and build a more inclusive and prosperous future for all.
