Objectives

The project came about at a particular time in all of our lives, at the end of the lockdown and when a strong need to get out and meet each other was emerging in everyone. Young people had also been affected by the obligation to stay indoors and limit contact with peers, friends, and the group. All of this then often turned out to be the source of depressions, spaces of anxiety and increasing difficulties in dealing with life's situations and challenges. Therefore, a strong need emerged at that time among young people to resume creating spaces where they could meet and be together, in contact with nature, where at the same time they could learn new skills. From this emerged the goals set for the project, namely: - Creating safe and inclusive social spaces, supporting youth meeting and exchange; - Creation of opportunities for movement and contact with nature in which to help reduce the causes of depression and illness (a healthy, strong body is more likely to cope with adversity); - Creation of spaces for learning new skills and abilities (mainly manual and psychophysical, but also technological and sociocultural); - Supporting self-esteem, motivation, and ability to self-manage and cope with everyday challenges through a holistic approach to the person and life; Supporting relational and leadership qualities through meeting and confronting each other and through carrying out different activities (group management, choosing materials, map reading, meal preparation, mindfulness, etc.); - Creation of a virtual thread of connection between places and people through a path connecting different places; - Inclusion of youth with disabilities with the ultimate goal of reducing the barriers that still separate two worlds, supporting the encounter and understanding of unfamiliar and sometimes feared situations and initiating, where possible, volunteer spaces by youth. At the same time, the more specific goals we set ourselves as associations were: - Creation of a network of associations with similar and congruent goals in which to develop-with the support of nature-the connection of youth and the integration of youth with fewer opportunities, marginalized or disabled. - Improvement of youth workers' skills through active exchange of best practices and shared creation of inclusion support project. All of these objectives were and are related to the objectives of the Program as they touch on the following points: - "to improve the level of key competencies and skills of young people, [omissis]": through the creation of opportunities for meeting and confrontation, cooperation and growth by being together and sharing an exchange, a shared time (knowledge, skills, horizons). It was intended to include young people with fewer opportunities and from marginalized groups precisely to give them opportunities they would not otherwise have had. - "...learning mobility opportunities for young people [omissis]." The activities aimed to create opportunities for exchange and cooperation, in presence or online, originating learning and improvement opportunities, at various levels, youth, educators, associations. - "fostering quality improvements in the field of socio-educational animation [omissis]": through the work of several practitioners in cooperation, the aim was to create opportunities for the professional development of youth workers and the formation of a network capable of originating new activities and programs that better meet the needs of people and associations, inside and outside Europe.
