CoOp intends to spread among the young people a nonviolent culture that prevents radicalisation. Working today with the youngsters means to face challenges that do not only concern the anxiety and the uncertainty due to their age, but means also to deal with challenges related to socially caused disadvantages: nowadays the malaise becomes not just mistrust and impotence, but also disintegration, intolerance and violence. In addition the migration flows are changing the composition of young population and this aspect demands new tools to manage the inclusion processes. In this framework youth workers become increasingly important to engage the youngsters who are out of different educational paths and help them in their reintegration in the society. It’s a hard job. You need to be very skilled in motivating people, in supporting them and enhancing their own resources; you must be able to manage emerging problems and transform them through new approaches and practices. Sometimes youth workers have no appropriate tools to deal with challenges coming from marginality and interculture and they suffer stressful situations that make them vulnerable. In order to act effectively and not to be overpowered by high-level conflict situations, it’s necessary that they increase their ability in understanding the complexity of phenomena that create violence and intercultural conflicts, expand their agency and create a network to collaborate with different players. The project’s objectives are: - more young people at risk (early school leavers, Neets, youngster at risk of poverty or social exclusion, migrants…) involved in activities held by partners; - more activities planned and carried out by partners according to a nonviolence and ludic approach; - more activities planned starting form the resources and the motivation of the youngsters; - more international collaboration among the partners; - more activities and international projects activated by the partnership.
