Objectives

"YOUth For Society" aimed to equip youth groups with competencies and needed tools that help them put their initiatives into practice in the contexts of identifying problems in their communities, tackling challenges and contributing to the development of the society. It developed skills, knowledge and abilities of participants towards social entrepreneurship and labor market skills. Shortly, the idea was to help young people in the transmission from unemployment to self-employment as social entrepreneurs. "YOUth For Society" helped personal development of participants as a first significant output, but societal development and transnational cooperation on a longterm basis. Objectives reached: - raised the awareness and the sense of social entrepreneurship among young people; - strengthened young people's sense of initiative in the social field in order to support their communities; - participants equipped with necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes needed for putting their initiatives into practice; - raised participants' level of confidence and motivated them to kick-start social enterprises; - participants overcame fear of failure and improved their positive attitude towards the labor market; - fostered transnational exchange of ideas and transmission of competencies and to see the added value of diversity; - promoted tolerance, sense of equality and solidarity; respected intercultural, non-discriminative dialogue and foster social integration. To link to the objectives of Erasmus +, the learning opportunities "YOUth For Society" created for young people were based on informal and non-formal experiences. That made an environment motivating for every participant to feel free to express ideas and get engaged. By keeping it informal personal barriers were removed and fair learning was ensured.
