The Education for the Deaf project aimed to improve the quality of education for Deaf children by identifying common issues and good practices across participating countries. The project started by mapping the then-current situation of education for the Deaf in each country and identifying transnational initiatives that had been implemented in the past. Additionally, the project sought to empower Deaf youth organizations by giving them a platform to share their experiences and ideas to tackle major issues in education for the Deaf. By doing so, the project aimed to develop a standard approach that could be used by European and national organizations for Deaf young people. Another key objective of the project was to train youth workers in working with the newly developed approach. Overall, the project's primary goal was to improve the quality of education for Deaf children, giving them an opportunity to develop their identity and sense of Deaf culture, and to ensure that they received the education they deserved.
