During this training, participants were able to build and operate a robotic system that includes both software and hardware components. We will be working with the Arduino micro controller boards that were very versatile and user friendly to work with. During the workshops the participants learnt the key concepts in programming Arduino and also robotics technologies. Participants will be required to assemble the robot itself which will include motors, sensors, the micro controller, etc. The robot it self was 3d printed to demonstrate the participants the versatile of 3d printing and how easy to modify the robots itself for different application with he same electronics components. The training format was part lecture, part discussion and heavy hands-on. Objectives: The objectives that we reached for this training course were as follows: - To develop a strategic action plan for use the digital literacy; - To understand the opportunities and risks of robotics; - To create and design using Arduino; - To develop creative and attractive ways to use social media as a platform to promote the work created; - To explore ways to create products while engaging young people; - To work as a team and share best practices which can be implemented in their respective organisations; - To improve our social networking skills in order to be closer to the young people; - To make the young people in our group responsible of our marketing campaign and thus give them more skills which they can eventually use for their job search - Intercultural discovery, of realities, issues and priorities of the participants; - Sharing of experiences, of practices and tools; - To open ways to work on solutions through networking and creating future cooperation projects between the participants in the frame of future international projects; - To offer an interactive meeting space for youth workers in the European context in order to exchange good practice relevant to gender issues; - To offer a participatory programme of activities ensuring everyone's active involvement in its evolution; - To empower participants in acting as multipliers so that they build up to the experience gained during the course and having it spread to relevant stakeholders;
