Objectives

Through the project together with our partners we wanted to address the need for a lack of systemic support for youth workers in Europe in terms of supporting their mental health during their daily work with young people. Both we and our partners face the problem of youth workers' burnout, they lack tools and methods to work, they are mentally burdened especially when working with young people at risk of social exclusion. Our training was designed to help youth workers find motivation for their work, provide new tools for their work and take care of their mental well-being. In addition, the following goals were achieved through the project: - we created a support network for youth workers; - we discussed the difficulties encountered in their profession and the possibilities of overcoming them; - we provided youth workers with methods and tools to monitor their overall wellbeing in youth work, at emotional, physical, mental levels; - we have developed strategies for self-awareness, self-management, self-regulation; - we learned empathy, enriched our social skills and increased our intrinsic motivation.
