The main aim of the project was to develop the habit of taking care of one's own health by promoting healthy lifestyles through the introduction of healthy eating habits and physical activity into the daily diet. Already at the proposal writing stage, we noticed that a bad lifestyle causing health problems is a growing problem for the community and ourselves. We noticed that obesity is becoming more and more prevalent among our peers as well as among Hufca participants. We wanted the joint meeting with young people from the Czech Republic to help us change our behaviour and get into the habit of taking care of our own health and the health of our loved ones. Through the exchange of experiences related to health risks we face in the modern world, we wanted to sensitise ourselves and our peers to the nutritional habits we have in our daily diet that affect our health and well-being. We wanted to gain knowledge and skills to make more conscious choices and change our diet and physical activity to a more health-promoting one. We wanted to see what health means to our peers in the Czech Republic and what are the risky behaviours that can cause us to lose it. The joint activities aimed to raise awareness of how we should take care of our health and how our eating and exercise habits affect our future lives. We also wanted to develop our key competences such as teamwork, speaking skills, self-presentation, presenting our views, arguing, discussing, listening and communicating in a foreign language. All activities undertaken were aimed at building a positive self-image, which translates into self-confidence, a positive image of one's abilities, skills and influence on one's life. All the activities were intended to make us acquire knowledge and skills of health-promoting behaviour, which will become a permanent part of our daily lives.
