Objectives

We wanted to be drivers of change in the society in which we live, being able to carry out socially significant, economically viable and environmentally sustainable projects that motivate our youth workers and young people. With this, we hoped to improve the participation in the activities that we delivered and to help engage the most unmotivated or marginalised young people. The main activity of this project was a training course for youth workers and trainers, who wanted to learn how to create projects that benefit all the parties involved: the participating entities, their target groups, the communities where they all live and the Earth. This course was designed to equip our youth workers with valuable tools on entrepreneurship and facilitation of groups and inclusion, that also improved the job possibilities of the young people with whom we work. The objectives of the project were: 1. To learn a new technique for the design of creative, collaborative and sustainable projects. To improve the quality of our projects, we first needed to improve the way we design them. Currently, this work falls on a few people from each organisation, with little training in that area. We wanted all our youth workers to improve their skills regarding project planning and sustainability. 2. To acquire new tools to improve the employability, participation and motivation of the young people with whom we work, especially those at disadvantaged situations.
