We implemented the project because people produce huge amounts of garbage that pollute our planet, contributing to irreversible changes, including the number of endangered species of plants and animals is increasing, industrial emissions are poisoning the air and the amount of plastic litter in the seas is alarming. We use fossil fuels at a dizzying pace, cut forests for crops and pastures, and use hectoliters of water unnecessarily. We treat the earth's resources as if they were infinite. And they are not. To reverse this trend and save nature for the people of tomorrow, Europe needs to act today. That is why we started our activities starting with ourselves. During this project, we promoted the 'zero / less waste' philosophy, we wanted to apply its principles in everyday life and live in harmony with nature. The main goal of the project was to build pro-ecological attitudes among the participants, raise awareness of the sustainable environment and counteract mindless consumerism. Thanks to the acquired knowledge and competences, we have learned how to reduce, reuse and recycle. We also learned new ways to be more "sustainable" in everyday life, and expanded our knowledge of ecology and sustainable environment. Thanks to the participation of young people from many countries, the participants exchanged their experiences, their own thoughts and examples of best practice. We also had a chance to compare the waste management practices in other countries, the behavior and awareness of people about it.
