Objectives

Our Foundation, together with TPN and environmental volunteering, has been organizing projects related to ecology for 5 years. After the activities are completed, we get a lot of positive feedback from our participants and from young people willing to take part in such activities in the future. The reason for the implementation of this project is a series of meetings of a group of young people gathered around our organizations, who want to get involved in a new project after completing the project activities. When organizing the activities, the participants benefited from the many years of experience of our organization. One of the most important issues raised is global warming and climate change, recently seen as an impending disaster. In addition, young people focused on many threats related to the destruction of the environment by humans, such as environmental degradation, ocean pollution, destruction of biodiversity of ecosystems, massive deforestation, extermination of endangered species, etc. this topic and will allow you to join wider efforts to respond to the emerging challenges and threats of climate change. The main goals we set ourselves as part of the project are: - increasing the ecological awareness of young people; - recording a film in which topics related to ecology and the possibilities of ordinary people acting for the environment will be discussed; - taking actions to promote nature protection, pro-ecological behavior and ecological volunteering; - increasing the awareness of the local community of Poronin and the local communities from which the participants come from in terms of ecology, climate and the effects of human activity in this area; - learning to use ecology as a tool promoting a healthy lifestyle and active participation of young people - creating an educational game; - developing outlines of educational activities for young people related to environmental protection. We hope to contribute to the increase of young people's awareness of actions that can be undertaken on a larger scale, so that the project will motivate people to gain knowledge after the end of the exchange and inspire them to take action in local communities of participants and more. During the exchange, participants will cooperate with TPN volunteering, which will be an example of what actions can be taken to contribute to environmental protection and increase environmental awareness of the local community. This project is addressed to, among others, people from small towns and rural areas, we want it to also have an inclusive aspect and take into account the needs of people with fewer opportunities. Therefore, we will try to ensure that the activities prepared by us correspond to their specific needs, primarily in the field of language and cultural education, team collaboration skills and self-presentation. For this reason, all project activities are prepared with the greatest possible involvement of participants in mind, which will allow them to be taught both hard and soft skills in accordance with the principles of informal education, which will allow for more effective instilling of long-term trends. As part of the project, we will create for participants: - field for personal development through involvement at every stage of the project; - we contribute to the growth of our language skills; - we will acquire new skills of cooperation with representatives of other cultures and nationalities. Thanks to the cooperation with our partner organization, we will have the opportunity to get to know each other's customs, culture, traditions and history of our countries. Both national groups, apart from classes related to ecology and climate issues, will also prepare a national evening, which they will conduct for other participants of the project. According to young people, such activities will contribute to breaking stereotypes in small towns and rural areas, which can be harmful to representatives of other nations. Moreover, such activities are an opportunity to present the benefits of participation in activities at the international level, including the Erasmus + program. In this regard, we would like to take care of promoting: - tolerance, respect for diversity and mutual understanding; - intercultural dialogue; - the E + program and TPN volunteering among the local community of Poronin and young people. Moreover, cooperation with Jaunimo Ratas will be an opportunity to tighten relations between our organizations. We hope that this cooperation will translate into further activities in the future. The assumptions of this project as well as its organization were prepared based on the guidelines we received from NA during previous calls for proposals.
