We wanted to create a project that gives a response to our partner’s common needs and issues - to develop and improve youth facilitators skills and attributes above in a safe environment, in an experimental and playful way alongside professional facilitators who face similar challenges to learn from each other in a non-formal educational setting. Another objective was to implement a project that serves as a learning outcome for the participants and also has an impact on the wider target group, young people connected to the participants. Through the continuous dissemination of the project we wanted to achieve that more people get to know about Erasmus+ opportunities and consider what skills they need for the future. In this project we worked with selected facilitators, in an experimental and playful learning environment we developed creative thinking and flexibility. We teached how to use theater, acting, simulations and team coaching as a tool for reflection, personal and group development, to support communication and to create meaningful actions in the society. In the second phase, the facilitators returned to their youth groups and applied the tools they have learned. MAIN PROJECT OBJECTIVES: - to improve professional skills of educators, counsellors and trainers, working directly with young people and youth NGOs in designing and guiding facilitation activities and support processes based on theatrical methods - to adapt and introduce theatrical tools and coaching techniques into the context of youth work - to improve interpersonal team work, conflict management, decision making, consolidation, competences of young people and youth workers, - to promote educational, non-formal education and experiential learning - to inspire the creation of new international projects among NGOs working with young people facing challenges - to inspire youth to work together for common goals - to strengthen the potential and scope of participating organisations by equipping their volunteers and workers with new tools and methods to approach youth problems By learning and exploiting theater tools as a method of addressing complicated, challenging or abstract issues to access them vividly in a secure setting we offered participants the opportunity to identify common values with persons from different countries in spite of their cultural differences, challenge viewpoints that conserve inequality or discrimination and promote the respect of cultural diversity. In this way the project contributed to the achievement of the objectives of the E+ programme and KA1. By equipping youth workers/youth educators with the tools that they will integrate in their daily work and that will improve their own teamwork and/or the programs they run for young people we'll contribute to the overall objectives of the EU Youth Strategy (Inclusive Societies, Quality learning)
