Sexual orientation and gender identity have increasingly been recognized as grounds of discrimination in European and national legislation. Today, the situation of LGBTQI+ persons in the EU is no longer a marginalized issue but a recognized human rights concern. Nevertheless, there are many evidences of how LGBTQI+ persons in the EU experience bias-motivated discrimination, violence and harassment in different areas of life, including employment, education, healthcare, housing and other services. The findings show that many hide their identity or avoid certain locations because of fear. Others experience discrimination and even violence for being LGBTQI+. Most do not report such incidents to the police or any other relevant authority. Our priorities were fundamental human rights, which are guaranteed to all persons, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Young people need information, knowledge and specific skills about how to promote tolerance, anti- discrimination among youth and how to fight against homophobia in their communities, especially when it comes to the difficulties LGBTQI+ people face when they are seeking for a job. This will require their potential, previous experience, participation and cooperation with others being encouraged for international work. Using new tools and competences for reaching larger number of people, youth will learn the methods of successful promotion of anti-discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Values that can be associated with active democratic citizenship, openness, tolerance, courage to defend human rights. The beneficiaries of this TC will share and exchange experiences as the foundation of the theoretical part of the main themes of this project. The second pillar of the sustainability is the set of skills that youth workers are going to acquire and utilize in their future work, through the extensive training on campaigning and advocating on local and national level within main strata of their societies, in front of the relevant institutions and stakeholders for better chances for employment for LGBTQI+ people.
