Objectives

The Project "Unblocked - Don't let yourself be caught by the nets", brought awareness of the damage that COVID19 has caused in our current society, we focus essentially on the blockages resulting from this pandemic and the ways to reverse them. This project being the first after this pandemic situation, it immediately had a very positive effect on the young people who participated, feeling, in a way, like a return to normality. Aware of this impact, we developed activities so that this feeling was not lost but that it was channeled to a new awareness where they could identify their weaknesses and how they could act to prevent or overcome these limitations. Having said that, we tried, through various activities, that each young person had a more lucid view of the psychological barriers raised by each one due to the new reality experienced in recent years and the limitations imposed by the community where we are inserted, which for reasons of low investment in infrastructures or even cultural ones can, in some way, create insecurities, anxieties and other stigmas related to sociocultural deprivation and school deprivation. We consider this work fundamental for young people to be able to look around them with a more analytical spirit and to feel capable of acting either within themselves or in the environment. In view of the above, we worked through non-formal methodologies to achieve the following objectives: to provide young people with tools/strategies for self-knowledge and personal enhancement, which minimize the impacts of the situation we are experiencing; use new technologies as a way to overcome crisis situations; we deepened the way in which young people can break down the intergenerational barriers that became evident during COVID-19; Information and awareness instruments were created regarding the good use of new technologies (especially social networks). With regard to how the project relates to the objectives of the Erasmus+ Program, we highlight: action at European level, that is, the strengthening of collaboration between partners, which therefore improves and increases the quality in the preparation, execution, monitoring and project monitoring; the use of Youthpass, as a skill recognition tool; we provided other learning opportunities outside the formal education context; thus, as the main objective of this project was to produce positive and lasting effects for the participants and organizations involved, adding value in the communities of origin of the countries involved. Since this project has always had a broad vision, which does not substantiate the period of execution of the project, we aim to continue some actions after its conclusion.
