2. Projects Objectives _ summary. Connected Connected trough Empathy is a initiative of the ADA volunteers, who along partner organizations became aware that young people face obstacles in their communication and this affects the way they collaborate with other young people and other people in general in their lives as well as the way they see other groups. Young people tend to be anxious, have a low self esteem, difficulties in active listening and bringing arguments into discussion. Taking these problems into account, youth need to be able to communicate efficiently, to be able to participate actively into dialog and to know their own needs, to know models of healthy communication and integrate that into their professional, personal and social development. Also developing interpersonal skills, empathy and solidarity represents a priority for the European Union, as mentioned in the European Youth Strategy. Objectives: - Developing verbal, non-verbal and paraverbal communication skills and publick speaking skills among 35 young people. - Developing the ability of the 35 young people to know themselves and increase their self esteem. - Developing the ability of the youth to form healthy relationships with those around them trough efficient coomunication if their needs, active listening and empathy. - Social inclusion of 21 youth with fewer opportunities in nonformal education and empowering them to overcome their condition.
