The international youth exchange project "Colors of Diversity" was developed by 6 organizations from 6 European countries: Romania, Italy, Spain, Greece, Poland, Bulgaria and is planned for the period 1/01/2021 - 31/08/2021. The project was elaborated starting from the current realities, based on the needs of the young people who initiated it. The society in which we live and the circles in which we activate are becoming more and more diverse. At the same time, there is a lack of openness towards diversity, social attitudes being frequently determined by preconceptions, representatives of minority groups often facing discriminating attitudes. In this context, we want to implement a project in order to offer young people cultural education, developing respectful attitudes towards diversity and promoting tolerant and equitable behaviors. By the end of the project, 31.08.2021, we aim to achieve the following objectives: O1. Educating the 48 young people on multiculturalism and diversity and promoting the project’s message to 4000 persons through motivational videos that are to be created by participants. O2. Stimulating the inter-ethnic and inter-religious dialogue based on common values, within the youth exchange sessions and through the follow-up educational activities, in which there will participate other 500 youngsters. O3. Developing non-discriminatory and inclusive attitudes to participants and promoting like behaviors in society, through flash-mobs and brochures, informing 8000 young people. We believe that through international youth exchanges we can contribute to changing social attitudes and creating a more tolerant and inclusive space, cultivating openness and respect for different cultures and perpetuating cooperative behaviors. Within the national horizontal priorities for 2020, the "CoD" project addresses and promotes non-discrimination, social inclusion, diversity and collaboration on the basis of common values and will contribute to the development of multicultural, civic and social competences of young people.
