In the autumn of 2021, our organization would like to create a project called Forum Agrarium with the participation of 35 young people in Cristuru Secuiesc. The young people will be from Romania, Hungary, Poland, Greece and Spain. The project, as its name suggests, seeks to pursue a discourse on a key topic, agriculture, by touching on areas such as eating habits, the environment, and climate change. However, we do not just want to talk, but also to dissect the topic: by visiting backyard farms and farms, we would like participants to gain direct experience so that they can express their thoughts in the context of concrete examples. Forum Agrarium provides a framework for these ideas by narrowing its focus to three agricultural products, whose life paths are presented to participants through the language of the film, namely Milk, Eggs and Radishes With this exchange, our organization has 5 main OBJECTIVES We want that during the 10 day youth exchange the 35 youth, some with fewer opportunities, from Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Spain, to : - enlarge their knowledge about the connection between eating habits and mechanism of agriculture and they will be get to know with the life-paths of 3 essential products: milk, egg and radish. - get enough practical experience and personal knowledge about local products that they get inspiration, motivation and a well built plan on how to directly support the local producers in their own communities - learn 2 new ways of self expression, A) through discussions and debates and a variety of informal, non-formal and formal formats and B) through video, using SONY VEGAS STUDIO and the method of Digital Storytelling. - get a deeper understanding of the culture, traditions, history and cuisine of the 5 countries, and to gain an ease of communicating in a common language, English. Beside the objectives oriented towards the participants we also want to develop the 5 NGOs involved in the project by - raising their capacities in organizing short international mobilities and - getting a deeper understanding of how to reach and support local youth and local producers.
