Objectives

Recycling ensures that waste does not go to landfills, incinerators, or to the ocean. Thus, makes the waste reusable and re-evaluates every waste that comes out to be part of another cycle. This situation puts pressure on natural resources, disrupts the balance of the world, and cannot meet the increasing need for societies. Increasing the recovery sensitivities of young people who will take place in the management and social life of the future is important in the reduction of environmental pollution rate. We adopted the idea of leaving a more livable world to the future by writing this project to reduce environmental pollution and support quality life. The overall goal of our project was to increase the awareness of young people towards recycling and zero waste. The goals achieved in this direction are as follows: 1) We informed young people about waste management. 2) The motivation and competence of young people increased on waste recycling. 3) Young people gained the right waste classification skills. 4) We informed the participants about the scope and results of environmental pollution. 5) Their awareness on recycling of products locally raised. Within the scope of our project, we carried out activities to foster recycling of young people, and their initiative skills in recycling improved. Our participants from multiple countries exchanged ideas and promoted diversity through activities. They used this opportunity to develop intercultural dialogue thanks to the multicultural environment. In this context, our project achieved the priorities of the Erasmus+ program. Socially, economically and health-disadvantaged youngsters actively participated in our project activities supported by non-formal education methods. Their basic skills and competencies towards social solidarity developed to prevent environmental pollution by reducing waste by young people. Our project particularly encouraged waste management and collaboration among youth organizations and other stakeholders. In this context, our project addressed the specific goals of the Erasmus+ program more than once.
