Objectives

The Veles Institute is an institute for sustainable lifestyles and disseminates knowledge by offering a comprehensive day-to-day experience on a farm operating sustainably. Through the development of the Yes to sustainability (YTS) network, the needs of young people and youth workers emerged, which our organization, as one of the first initiators of this network, addressed through 'Leader in Me' training and then carried out on needs training in 2021 ‘Leader in Me 2.0’. The main objectives of the project that were achieved were: - to enable participating youth workers who have just embarked on this path, to develop and strengthen the skills that will strengthen them in their role, to present different methods for working with young people that will be tested and then implemented by youth leaders; - equip participants with methods and techniques for working with young people in the field of sustainable development so that, after training, they will disseminate what they have gained among colleagues in their organizations, thereby facilitating the development and growth of the quality of the organization's work; - to provide young youth workers with access to experiences with a sustainable environment as an inspiring learning environment to support participating organizations in joint project planning and implementation within the established YTS network with the aim of expanding beyond project partnership. The project fulfills the objectives of ERASMUS + by properly addressing the needs of participating organizations and individual participants. Participants with fewer opportunities (geographical, economic, educational, social barriers) were involved in the project. Within this framework, tolerance and respect for one another were ensured and promoted. The sheer diversity of the partnership ensured the expansion of the network, while promoting diversity and intercultural as well as an interfaith dialogue through teamwork. Also, in the given circumstances, we wanted to enable an important component of a live event and to carry out residency training, which was supported by digitalization with pre and post-activity meetings.
