Despite the highly uncertain situation around the world at the time regarding the coronavirus pandemic and unpredictable changes, young people once again actively participated in upgrading our activities and development of organisations. The project brought together young people from different EU countries, who spent 11 days together developing an idea, learning, growing as a person, as individuals. They worked on quality ideas, for the common good, developed valuable life skills such as critical thinking, creative expression, compassion for differences in opinion, culture and way of life and a better understanding of these differences. The project was designed in response to the needs of young people, as they found that despite record participation in the 2019 European elections, still very few young people participate in decision-making processes that significantly affect them. In this way, we brought the area of democratic participation and youth autonomy closer to young people and encouraged them to personal, cultural and political development. Young people are exposed to many trials and situations, but today they are only young people, but tomorrow we will be the leaders of decisive processes. The main goal of the project was to bring this area closer together and to encourage them to learn about mechanisms and structures, where they can actively participate in all decision-making phases of important decisions for them. We promoted European cooperation in the field of youth, gained better capacities of partner organizations for operation at the EU and international level, and promoted mobility opportunities for young people. Young people gained important knowledge and skills in this area and thus became more competitive on the labor market. These were other important goals of the project. We promoted tolerance among young people, acceptance of diversity, respect and freedom. Young people from different parts of Europe came together, worked together and tackled the topic practically and theoretically. The project was also strongly related to the Resolution on the EU Youth Strategy, where we pursued the goals of making young people more active citizens, to realize their own potential and the influence that young people can have. This document particularly highlights the empowerment of young people in achieving the EU's goals, which we have significantly followed throughout the project.
