Objectives

Due to the technical development of the world, young people must have a wide range of knowledge. Due to the crises and the quarantine situation, several nations are struggling to get their economies back on their feet, so competition in the labour market is intensifying, and the demand for well-educated, talented young workers has also increased. Many young people wonder what basic skills are necessary to get and keep a good job. Nowadays, it is difficult to find a well-paying job with the opportunity to build a career, especially for a young person who has just left school. Young people with fewer opportunities are in an even more difficult situation from this point of view. People living in rural areas are also at a disadvantage in terms of education and job search. Finding the necessary skills for popular and safe workplaces is also a difficult task for young people and youth organizations. Finding a suitable job for young people often takes a long time, during which time their enthusiasm and motivation decrease, and their social isolation increases. Young people who are unemployed for a long time increase the financial burden of their supporting families. In order to reduce the number of unemployed young people, it is necessary to maintain their motivation and mentor them in the field of successful career building. In order to do this, youth organizations and their youth workers must be provided with all the knowledge and resources they can use to help young job seekers during their activities. Based on our research, the most important skills concern the technical and interpersonal areas. By presenting these to youth organizations, they will be able to maintain the motivation of young people, and use the tools of non-formal education to teach methods by which they can analyse the labour market and help them find the right job. The problem of NEET is global and affects European countries to varying degrees. The economic crisis caused by the epidemic intensified this phenomenon. In order to stop or at least slow down the process, several youth organizations are working with programs to help young people find employment as soon as possible after school. The goal of the project was similar, to provide youth organizations with all the knowledge necessary to make their assistance in career building of young people even more effective. In order to achieve this, we have set ourselves the goal of increasing the career counselling, interpersonal and other relevant skills of youth workers, with which they can help young people find employment. We have shown the methods by which they can effectively research labour market trends and the knowledge and skills necessary for successful employment. At the same time, they learned about project management and Erasmus +, the knowledge of which also helps the activities of the youth workers.
