In our globalizing world, in the age of technology and internet, human beings can get all kinds of information about themselves and each other in seconds, and if he wants, he can communicate with someone from a different nation from the other side of the world via audio and video. Man is afraid of what he does not know. So why do we not want to know each other, see our differences are our real richness. Do we see ourselves as superior to “others”?Why can’t we live in brotherhood in our world which offers us countless opportunities to know eachother better, but prefer to experience social, cultural, gender, racist, religious, political, etc.Discriminations or do we just ignore it? In Denizli, which has started to receive immigration as a result of the growth in its industry in recent years, different ethnic origins,socio-cultural and people from economic structures live together. However, events of marginalization and exclusion are seen in not only on social media and the national press but also in education and social life. These events have negatively affected the image of our city and endangered our social integrity. As a youth group,we decided take an action in May 2020,when George Floyd was a victim of racial discrimination in the USA and some of our group members experienced such social discrimination incidents personally in Denizli. As a group,we aimed to develop a Youth Project to increase social awareness by giving aa EU dimension to what we can do about it.Thinking that cultural and artistic activities can be the common denominator that brings human beings together, we prepared our "Culture on My Camera" project. With our project activities, we underlined that all kinds of discrimination in our country and in the world should not be normalized in any way and cannot be accepted. We wanted to encourage our people, who are increasingly closed to their own world and become insensitive to events,to question themselves and society. Research shows that discrimination is a multifaceted sociological branch that emerges in all parts of the society in various topics (religious, ethnic, sociocultural, race, gender, language)and independent from time, place, education level, age, gender, etc.of people.Number of people exposed to discrimination and social exclusion per day has been increasing day by day and this situation threatens our social integrity.According to TUIK 2019 data, immigrants in our country and the proportion of those who are discriminated against because of their refugee status is over 20%, the rate of those facing discrimination is over 15%, the rate of those experiencing discrimination based on ethnic origin is 13.6%,the rate of those exposed to discrimination is 21.5% When we compared our situation with the EU dimension,we saw that we had to go a long way as a country in terms of protecting human rights and ensuring justice. In accordance with the subject of our project,it is fully compatible with promoting active citizenship, social inclusion and solidarity, which are the general objectives of the EU Commission's Youth Strategy. It also served participation, social inclusion, creativity and culture from 8 priority areas determined in terms of activities. Under the title of “Participation in NGO Activities” in the Youth Strategy of the EU Commission, it was aimed to support local and national youth organizations,to develop dialogues between young people and to involve young people in NGO activities.Within the scope of the title of "Youth and the World", it is aimed that the young people conduct brainstorms about global problems and carry out studies that created awareness in the society,be effective in the policies to be produced in this context, and take part in voluntary activities. Our group has developed our project on the basis of the new slogan of the EU Commission,"Bringing,Uniting and Empowering Youth",aimed to achieve the following goals. *Giving photography training to 30 young people aged 16-25 *To enable our youth to have the vision of becoming a world citizen by getting to know their own culture and other cultures better *To raise social awareness about all kinds of discrimination * Identifying the causes of discrimination and finding common denominators that unite people * To improve the skills of tolerance, cooperation, mutual respect, responsibility, discipline, social communication in our youth. *Contributing to the EU's 2019-2027 goals *To inform our young people about EU opportunities and how they can benefit from these opportunities *Increasinfg the number of youth projects * To provide our young people with new hobbies and skills,to protect them from bad habits and internet addiction. *Contributing to the adoption of concepts such as EU Culture,Cultural Self,Intercultural Dialogue,EU Citizenship,Human Rights and Democracy The studies we have done with cultural-based,non-formal learning techniques and group work created an important awareness in our society against all kinds of discrimination.
