The world population is constantly increasing and the majority of people now live in cities. While technology is developing at a dizzying pace, the economy has become interconnected and globalized in parallel. However, many countries have yet to experience the sustained growth that is part of this new economy. The growth of the world economy as a whole did not occur to the extent expected. Conflict and instability have become increasingly persistent, causing larger groups of people to be displaced. Increasing climate variability and extreme weather events with climate change adversely affect agricultural productivity, food production and natural resources, which also affects food systems and rural livelihoods, leading to a decline in the number of farmers. All of this is causing significant changes in the production, distribution and consumption of food worldwide and new challenges in food safety, nutrition and health. Food is also a basic human right. Everyone needs to have access to the foods they need to live a healthy and active life. Today, with the changing conditions and migration from the village to the city, the industrialization and agriculture equation has been disrupted and the transition from agriculture to industry has brought with it out-of-home nutrition. In other words, at the point we have reached today, it has become almost impossible not to consume ready-made food and packaged products. With this project we realized, we asked everyone we could reach, "Do you know what you eat?" We tried to raise awareness about being a conscious food consumer by asking the question. We can define it as ready-to-eat food for packaged products that are prepared out of home, processed and have a shelf life. Prepared foods may lose their nutrients during the packaging process, and the factors arising from the packaging materials can have a negative effect on the packaged food. In addition, when protective additives are added to extend the shelf life of packaged products, they can also harm our health. It triggers many more diseases, from obesity to diabetes, from cancer to Alzheimer's, from Parkinson's to cardiovascular diseases. The information about clean and healthy eating, which is increasing day by day, especially on social media, makes us pay attention to the amount of processed food, additives or preservatives, rather than focusing on the calories of the product. We are now beginning to associate the phrase "clean label" with "healthier" products. In fact, awareness of the clean label product is increasing among consumers around the world. Thanks to this project, we wanted to contribute to these studies by raising awareness among young people about healthy food consumption, things to be considered in ready-made foods, and reading food labels, which the whole world started talking about, and to realize what we actually eat. Increasing the sense of responsible citizenship of young people, which is among the main action objectives of Erasmus+, includes taking action to lead a healthier life. We aim to achieve these in our project, making it healthier and healthier. We wanted to support raising awareness of young people about raising and raising conscious generations and to raise awareness by carrying out an international activity about being a conscious consumer, which has become a global problem in the globalizing world.
