Objectives

As the "ANKARA GAZİ YOUTH GROUP," we have taken up the issue of phobia on social media, believing it to be a serious global problem. Particularly when considering Europe, a continent characterized by diverse ethnicities, religions, and sects, it is evident that various forms of diversity exist. Our aim is to address this diversity as a source of richness on our continent, focusing not on conflicts and disputes, but on fraternity, peace, and harmony. While we emphasize fraternity, peace, and harmony on one hand, on the other hand, there is an increase in Islamophobia, Antisemitism, and hostility towards Christianity portrayed in various TV series and films, which negatively impact democracy, especially in Europe. As such negative rhetoric continues to increase, it leads to the deterioration of democracy and contributes to the escalation of religious, sectarian, and racial conflicts within societies. We have observed that individuals influenced by TV series, films, and other media at a young age tend to carry these biases into their adulthood. Recognizing these biases as a problem in need of resolution, we aim to urgently raise awareness and awaken society to the fact that these rich diversities add color to our community. In order to combat these biases, we can cite the example of Turkey's media channels. By shedding light on the richness of these differences and showcasing their positive contributions, we hope to guide this biased society toward a more enlightened perspective.
