Objectives

It is an irresistible fact that the happiness of the individual is the biggest factor in the civilization of the society, the peace, the social integration, and the civilization of the society, the happiness of the individual. Individuals who are regarded as equal to the rule of law, regardless of religion, language, gender, ethnic origin, adopt the principles of pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity and equality of women and men and form the basis of social cohesion. In this context, it is not possible to think about the social development of societies without the importance they attach to democracy, equality, freedom, respect for human dignity, rule of law and the rights of persons belonging to minorities. Aware of this, the European Union emphasized that the social development of the society is as important as its economic development while determining the basic values in economic and social terms with the Treaty of Rome signed in 1957. However, the European Union, which has made significant contributions to the social structure of societies all over the world, has continued to expand since the early 2000s, and new cultures and communities with various social lives have been included in the roof of the union. With the increasing influx of refugees in the last 10 years, this diversity has caused different social incompatibilities. One of the initiatives determined by the European Commission in order to eliminate these incompatibilities and to ensure social and regional harmony by ensuring that people living with poverty and social exclusion in the European Union take an active role in society and live in a way that dignifies human dignity, is the "European Platform Against Poverty and Exclusion. In parallel with this platform, we will come together with our young people, who will shed light on our future and social modernization, and help them gain the spirit of social unity in societies, and have an inclusive way of thinking for people or groups with different cultural background, religious or ethnic affiliation, income level or education level. A total of 30 students, including 24 young people between the ages of 14-30 and 6 group leaders, from 6 countries including Turkey, Greece, Slovenia, Germany, Spain and Tunisia, in Bergama District of İzmir between 14-20 May 2022, in order to gain We carried out an international youth project with the active participation of people. Our young people who use the art of photography as a tool during our project; not only did they bring together subjects such as the discovery of similar and different aspects of societies, the establishment of a culture of democracy and respect, with the instructive and exploratory aspect of photography, they also had the chance to examine the art of photography and the concept of social cohesion in depth. Not only from continental Europe; At the same time, in the project where participants from different program countries came together, intercultural learning increased in an environment where cultural diversity, different traditions and different ways of thinking came together and gave the participants a rich cultural perspective from clothes to traditional tunes, from local food types to different dance figures. Young people involved in the project; They had detailed information about the art of photography, which they used as a basic learning and dissemination tool, had the opportunity to get to know cameras, had information about the works of important photographers of history on social life, got ideas on how to use the camera more effectively in the sense of social entrepreneurship and learned about daily life. He has brought a new perspective to their lives by noticing how the overlooked details in life appear from the back of the frame with the meticulousness of a photographer.
