Objectives

The first thing of note is that we had to change 2 partners before the project started. Partners from Romania and Hungary withdrew from the project and they were replaced by partners from Bosnia and Serbia. From then the project was delivered replacing the exchange planned for Romania with that to Serbia. This impacted on the project as the costs were greater than planned. There have been errors loading up beneficiaries and I was advised by the NA to just submit them any way possible. The project set out to help, support and provide disadvantaged young people in the labor market with knowledge that will help them survive in life and generate income for their livelihood. Today's socio-economic situation at both national and European Union and non European level requires skills and knowledge that are progressive for the individual as well as for the community and society. Entrepreneurship skills are a very important objective and should be supported both at national and European Union and non European level. But every country's goal is to keep young people at home, because in hope for better living conditions the youth of the participant countries migrate to the western countries which are promising better living conditions. So, based on our gained experience, we understood that there is a need for an exchange for these young people, who usually face difficult social conditions. Our aim was that young people take appropriate and effective steps for the prosperity of their own and their surroundings, for the improvement of their living conditions, and make fundamental changes in their approach that they can pass on to members of their age group, giving them a kind of example. Furthermore, our aim was to help them in this process and to provide them with knowledge and information that will benefit them in the long run. The relevant needs were expressed by the members of our target group and indicated that they are open to change, but they need help, to which an exchange of experience in an international stage that provides an excellent opportunity. We achieved this objective. We targeted half of the participants will be disadvantaged, who primarily struggle with economic difficulties due to their difficult living conditions. Many of them also suffer from social disadvantages, since the parents of the majority of the young people have low level of education. Disadvantaged young people are even more endangered by drug use, since their decision-making ability is underdeveloped, they are more influencable than their peers. Many of them have already tried some kind of drugs. They are also characterized by the fact that there is no pattern to follow in their families due to the low educational level of the parents. Because of their difficult living conditions, they are also threatened by the fact that they appear on the market not only as consumers but as distributors too. We achieved this objective. We achieved this though the exchanges in Oldham in the UK and also in Belgrade in Serbia. In frame of the project we want to implement a double youth exchange with young people aged 17-24 from 4 countries, United Kingdom and Serbia, North-Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina . The main purpose of the exchange is to increase young people's openness to new things and to make them more receptive in favor of their own prosperity. We set as a goal that young people learn how to make their own income through the knowledge and competences acquired during the program, thus reducing the number of youth unemployed. The aim of the exchange program is to launch a development process that focuses on young people and also benefits their country of residence by encouraging them to set up an entrepreneurial business, which is essential for every national economy. The planned project activities: - Introduction of the countries and organization - Ice breaking and team building activities by each partner – Intercultural nights - Presentations of the unemployment situation in the partner countries - Poster of the participating youth on youth unemployment for public exhibition - Research to map local resources, demands and needs - Developing an entrepreneurial idea – Making anonline catalogue, Visit to a job placement office in connection with youth unemployment Welcome and farewell night – Excursion - There will be a daily group leader discussion and evaluation. Details of the activities are included in the detailed program plan attached to the datasheet. Each activity serves our main goal: developing the competences of young people in favor of building their future, career. Each program element, including games, contributes to the goals. We achieved this.
