The Erasmus+ RESOLVE: Play for Peace programme was designed in a pre-war in Europe and in turn had objectives that reflected life in a pre-2021 world. RESOLVE: Play for Peace built upon 4 KA1 projects delivered between 2018 and 2019: RESOLVE: East; RESOLVE: Reconciliation throu Youth; RESOLVE: Play and RESOLVE: Sport, as well as RESOLVE: West which started in late 2019. RESOLVE: Play for Peace built upon the successes of these early Erasmus + RESOLVE youth exchange projects, and other Erasmus+ RESOLVE dialogue activities (2019-2022) to offer a continued platform to young peacebuilders, those seeking experience as community educators, young leaders and future reconciliation workers to provide the skills, understanding & inter-cultural experience with a young person needs to overcome personal conflicts while developing professional skill sets to address their own social conflicts on a community level. The programme was also used as a platform for young people to assess their lives during & since the COVID-19 pandemic & the conflicts it may have caused in their communities. Key Objectives - support young people to: - Develop new skills and competences, in the facilitation of innovative ‘Play’ methods such as Labyrinth Theatre/Forum Theatre and Sensorial Theatre; - Learn about Sport for Development/Sport for Peace as a Peacebuilding Tool; - Learn about Social Action & their role as Citizens; - Learn about different societies to promote Social Tolerance & fight against xenophobia/conflicts; - Learn how to manage a Peace Network and ensure its sustainability; - Develop min.5 non-cognitive skills: Leadership; Team Building; Communication; Social Awareness; EU Key Competencies; - Learn to design & launch their own Social Action activity as a group; - Develop transferable employability skills which they can use in the workplace; within their communities and beyond; - Provide a safe space for people to engage in dialogue and promote principles of tolerance and mutual understanding. A key element of this project was to promote Employability skills & Conflict Resolution skills. An economically secure community is more likely to overcome community conflicts: it is socio-economics that cause conflicts. Mobilising the expertise developed through past RESOLVE mobility programmes and through the ongoing work of the RESOLVE: Network youth wing, partners addressed young peoples conflict, that they shared, while developing their reconciliation, social action and life skills to support them as the the community leaders of tomorrow. Key element of this project was to encourage young people to develop their Social Action skills - whether as designers, leadership, team members, specialist contributors or volunteers. All participants were involved in youth-led social action, during the official youth exchanges in Portugal, Turkey, UK and Romania. Plus, youth wing of the RESOLVE: Network, organised socially focused projects, that in turn the RESOLVE: Play4Peace participants were able to contribute towards in achieving the project's social action objectives. The social action which was delivered throughout all youth exchanges was the 'Importance of Peace' campaign. Additionally, partners reported thar 65 participants carried out their own social action, supported by their sending organisation, outside of youth exchange activities. It was was important for all participants to complete social action activity/activities during their youth exchange - as it is a key RESOLVE: Learning outcome - promoting social responsibility and ensuring the all participants give back to the host countries of youth exchanges. Participants also developed their skills in social action during youth exchanges: in design, planning, implementation and management and were encouraged to complete a social action activity or volunteering after their participation. The final results being: 100% of participant completed social action during youth exchanges 65 participants carried out their own social action activities
