Needs: Over the quarter century there has been a growing recognition of harmful effects caused by humans. The latter is a global problem which is ongoing every day and may lead to fatal consequences for humanity. It has been argued that destructive human activities are based on behaviour that is deeply rooted in modern civilization’s assumptions about nature and humanities place in it.We need to consider the social causes and impacts of the human activities that underlie them. During the project, it was important to consider the social attitudes and practices that give rise to environmental and social impacts, in other words sustainable society should be sustainable in both environmental and social terms. The first YE of ‘’Evolve Sustainability’’ was more about raising awareness, informative and reflective, we found out and learned more about the notion of ‘’sustainable society’’.We learned more about destructive human activities, their social and environmental impacts as well as causes that underlie them. First phase helped us to reflect and reconsidered our social attitudes so that we could understand what is sustainable not only environmental but also in social terms.During our first phase we created a platformhttps://sites.google.com/view/evolvesustainability?usp=sharing as well as booklet/flier that was the outcome of different working groups (writing, interviewing, designing) that we shared on social media, in addition the young people also decided to create original songs and music videos to the song, we also created some up-cycled clothes. The second YE was more practical, here we used our competences and artistic skills to create a ‘’ sustainable camp’’ where we putted into practice all we learnt, which raised awareness. We shared our ideas in form of art pieces, music and art exhibition; what we created all together was an alert for not only participants but also for the others who visited our youth exchanges, our exhibition or just online. OUR AIM: We wanted to continue our successful partnership between the NGO’s involved in this project which started from YE ’’ Our voices on the wall’’ and resulted more than seven projects about Human Rights, Active Citizenship and Different Art tools. This time as active citizens we wanted to take practical steps towards sustainable society, that was to re-evaluate values and social responsibility firstly, as well as our actions. We used per-formative arts to raise awareness. OUR VISION: Our vision was to create two phased YE with a comfortable atmosphere to exchange ideas, practices, experiences, live and work together to become more near to our vision of ‘’members of sustainable society’’.We believe that that Individuals cannot make sustainable choices unless they know what those choices are, and countries will not take direct actions to promote sustainable practices unless they receive substantial pressure from citizens.Websites, speeches, movements and rallies all contribute to raising public awareness. Objectives: To create a comfortable atmosphere without barriers to express oneself To create a space to talk about environmental and interpersonal issues existing in our societies and how it affects us; To gain specific knowledge on living sustainably and reducing unnecessary waste and consumption To empower each other to address these issues creatively To promote ‘’sustainable society’’ campaigning skills through creativity and non-violent action To develop artistic skills (Music, recycling, art) and competences to express ourselves creatively; To learn more about social media skills (making interviews, creating a booklet and platform) To learn more about web-based tools that is to create a multiplying effect by setting up an internet platform to share our work and inspire others To develop exchanging atmosphere to reflect on cultures, learn more about other cultures, foster intercultural dialogue, learning, and awareness To create artistic pieces together to address issues locally and globally To develop a readiness to act, sense of initiative and entrepreneurial mindset through taking part in organizing local activities and public events To affirm social responsibility as a value of sustainable society and become green ambassadors and set our own example LINKAGE TO ERASMUS OBJECTIVES: The aims/objectives of the project were strongly in line with Erasmus objectives in the youth field and KA1 to modernize learning and education, focus on youth and to develop solidarity and promote tolerance among youth, primarily to reinforce social cohesion. We believe that the project contributed to improving the level of key competences and skills of youth, including those with fewer opportunities, to promote participation in active citizenship, labor market, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, equality and solidarity;developing more synergies and interactions between formal, non-formal and informal learning;putting stronger focus on European added values.
