The project idea was developed against the background of the COVID-19 Pandemic.COVID-19 had a disproportionate impact on young people from BME communities. Pandemic has aggravated limitations in options & spaces for young people's physical, mental & social well-being. Due to a lack of physical activity & social isolation, young people's physical/mental health is having adverse effects. Many young people feel disconnected, lonely & struggle to develop meaningful relationships within the community - resulting in poor confidence & low self-esteem Secondly, many young people today are concerned about the increased the exclusionary ideologies, nationalistic and xenophobic atmosphere within the EU societies, Moreover, the refugee crisis from the last few years in Europe increased the number of far-right extremists groups and nationalist parties, which seriously question the ideal image of Europe as a place of freedom and security in recent years. The overall aim of the project is to find ways of fostering and strengthening the understanding of difference and diversity in the youth of our European societies by sharing experiences, ideas and practices of migration issues, discussing and debating the benefits of migration, diversity, and multiculturalism. Project participants will have the opportunity to look critically at the issue of migration by not only focusing on the last wave which is currently happening in Europe but look in a more wider context, at the same time through discussion and debate be able to relate it to multiculturalism and diversity already existing in Europe. Specific Objectives are: 1. To foster and develop a sense of European identity and feeling in young people and young workers. 2. Increase youth self-esteem and motivation for active participation in their organizations and in society valuing their perspectives and enhancing their inner and relational skills 3. Equip young people with enhanced life skills and world knowledge will contribute to their democratic resilience. 4. Provide young people with communication and public opinion formation skills helping to incorporate European values and Citizenship.
