The project entitled ‘Global Impact 4 Sustainability’ was a youth exchange bringing together youth organizations, or groups of active young people interested in the topic of sustainable development from eight Programme countries: United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia, Spain, Turkey. The main goal of the youth exchange was to turn the attention of young people to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 for the year 2030, to raise understanding of young people on these goals, and to encourage them to reflect on these goals at their daily life and to support their implementation. We set the following objectives of the project ‘Global Impact 4 Sustainability’: -to increase knowledge of young people on SDGs; -to get to know local, national, and international projects and initiatives being implemented to reach SDGs, to explore these projects, and to learn from them; -to brainstorm ideas for new projects and initiatives leading to raising awareness on SDGs which could be implemented with the support of the Erasmus + Programme; -to create a series of short videos introducing SDGs to young people coming from participant’s communities and/or reached online; -to develop competencies of the participants such as teamwork, leadership, presentation, movie making, movie editing; -to increase knowledge of the participants on the Erasmus + Programme and encourage participants to take part in non-formal based learning activities. By reaching the set project objectives we aimed to contribute to creating a more sustainable and greener Europe where all generations but especially young people pay attention to the environment, ecological issues and sustainability.
