The objectives of the project were as follows: -Equip an expanding team of educators with tools and knowledge to support a fast growing community of learners engaged with civic climate initiatives. -Train staff in inclusive and empowering learning methodologies that support the creation of learning spaces which reflect values of diversity, inclusion and empowerment. -Increase our capacity to deliver training in resilience methodologies and practices in order to enhance the wellbeing and effectiveness of civic groups engaged in climate responses. -Develop our ability to train learners in strategic thinking, civic mapping, and collaborative working practices to ensure the landscape of civic climate action in Austria is innovative and effective.
Radix is an education and training organisation, founded by individuals within the Austrian climate justice movement in response to an increasing demand for climate education and civic engagement training. Our work includes enhancing societies responses to the climate crisis and its underlying social issues by providing easily accessible education opportunities to the general public, and strengthening existing civil society organisations and groups through capacity building and training. We work primarily with adults, and have been developing a strategic plan to extend our trainer pool so that we can offer more of this work across Austria. We have been established in 2019 and have already developed projects with Bureau für Selbstorganisierung, Kauz - Werkstatt für Klima, Arbeit und Zukunft, Platz für Wien and Network Fairsorgen, among others. We reached more than 900 learners through planned projects in 2022.
