Objectives

The Erasmus+ programme is at the very heart of the mobility strategy at the University College of Teacher Education Tyrol (PHT) and contributes significantly to the internationalisation of the institution. It is particularly important for teacher training colleges, whose task is to educate, train and further educate teachers for primary, secondary and vocational education, to cooperate with partner colleges and partner schools, to provide mutual insight to the respective school systems, and to learn from and with each other so that future teachers are trained in the best possible way. The active exchange with partner universities and the mobility of teachers and students facilitates this learning effect. We wanted our students to learn from best practices and acquire relevant study and practical experience. We wanted to give our lecturers and staff the opportunity to teach at the partner institutions and to exchange ideas and knowledge with colleagues in their fields of work. Not to be forgotten we also wanted to achieve the positive effect of incoming mobilities, especially with regard to Internationalisation@home. Non-mobile students and lecturers were able to exchange their expertise with colleagues from all over Europe.
