Objectives

At FHV - Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences, generating and transferring knowledge and competencies on academic level is seen as one of the central tasks in the mission statement. This is how the University contributes to the economic and social development of the federal state of Vorarlberg (and the neighbouring regions), ensuring its prosperity in the long term. The Internationalisation strategy of FHV intends to contribute to those goals though systematic promotion of international alliances and exchange in learning and teaching. In teaching, the goal is to provide an excellent education that meets international standards like the full implementation of the Bologna process and that equips students with key qualifications that are important for their future career in a globalised and diverse labour market: Intercultural competencies, valuing and understanding different cultures and ways of working, and foreign languages are important skills to have for our future graduates. Future employers - and the region - will benefit from those skills in the future. Teachers and staff can create an environment supporting students in their endeavors through their own international experience at one of our partner institutions.
