For the 2021 call, the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (FH Upper Austria) had set itself the goal of increasing mobility figures again, which had slumped due to the Covid19 pandemic. The FH Upper Austria wanted to achieve high-quality mobilities through increased individual advice and information services for students and employees, but also through increased contact with the partner universities, so that after the very uncertain times, all participants could start their stays abroad with a good feeling and felt well looked after. The focus was primarily on the quality of the mobilities. The FH Upper Austria was challenged with a smaller budget than expected in the 2021 call. One particular challenge was that it was also the first year in which we were allowed or had to manage the student mobility budgets directly. It was not easy to fall back on empirical values in combination with the still difficult forecast of Covid19 developments. Despite these challenges, the FH Upper Austria has managed to make good use of the resources available and has provided students with wonderful mobility experiences. In addition, the FH Upper austria planned and conducted the first BIP. *
