Objectives

The first project of the new Erasmus+ era brought along manifold new features. One of our main goals was to boost the number of mobilities for both outgoing and incoming students and staff including the newly established short-term mobilities. The first year of the new Erasmus+ programme generation was especially challenging due to the still ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the restructuring of the financial management and the implementation of EWP related digitalisation measures. Only through the exceptional administrative effort and additional non EU funded financial support the successful implementation of the project itself and its new features was feasible. In total, 183 mobilities were concluded. Student mobilities make up the majority (~92%), whereby mobility for studies account for two thirds. In the beginning of the project nearly the whole grant was budgeted for long-term student mobilities, since staff mobilities were restricted. Towards the end of the project period remaining funds were used for staff mobilities (~8%) and short-term mobilities of students. Ultimately 20% more mobilities compared to the contracted number of participants in the first interim report could be achieved and the budget could be fully utilised.
