The St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences is the coordinator of the European University Alliance “E³UDRES²”. In this capacity, it pursues an internationalisation strategy that is firmly grounded in the following areas: 1) An increase of academic mobilities for students and staff, 2) close cooperation with relevant partner universities, especially with the partners in the European University Alliance E³UDRES², 3) participation in national and international research projects, 4) enriching (knowledge transfer) projects that foster internationalisation at home, and 5) equipping graduates with international competencies. Further internationalisation goals of the St. Pölten UAS include the qualitative and quantitative expansion of all international activities through the further promotion of an open culture of learning and innovation. In this context, a special emphasis is on the promotion of interdisciplinarity, internationality, and innovative strength in order to contribute to a knowledge-based, open society and to lay the foundations for lifelong learning. The implementation of this project was in full conformity with the above-mentioned goals and with the institution’s strategy.
