Our overarching objective was to give young people (in peripheral and urban areas, without restriction of gender or social background), the opportunity to express their views on (for them) relevant topics through a mobile radio station and a professionally equipped film team- They also should be enabled to actively participate or even complete produce a professional television film. From the beginning we wanted to actively involve a core team of young people from Salzburg in the production, who - as a film/documentary team - should conduct the interviews on site and finally cut, display, moderate the material in a professional studio,... Many young people should be interviewed, in the whole country and be filmed on site at a total of 10 different stations with professional equipment. As a result of the interviews or the finished film, young people should be given the opportunity to discuss their subjects and opinions with responsible stakeholders and to perform effectively in public through various media channels. Sub-Objectives: 1: Young people should focus on the topic “My opinion is worth being reported”. In doing so, they should express their opinions completely free, be creative themselves and have the opportunity to present their statements effectively to a wide public and responsible stakeholders and also to generate attention to the concerns and actual life of young people among “adults” through media dissemination. 2: Through practical work and professional production of radio and especially film reports, young people (including girls!) should engage with digital media, its technical frameworks and functions, as well as the social importance of media reporting. 3: We wanted to create good conditions (access to radio and television) that would enable young people to be perceived in public and encourage them to stand up for their concerns.
