With a view to deploying and professionalising the methodology IPNA (Psychosocial Intervention by Nature and Adventure in Europe), there are plans to create an IPNA training course for social workers working with these groups. This project is the first stage in the creation of this process: 1. building a pedagogical reference frame, a document summarising the conceptualisation of the IPNA on the basis of concrete exchanges of experience of activities run by the partners in different settings and with different audiences. 2. initiating the creation of an "IPNA" network 3. drawing up a provisional outline for the future "IPNA-EU Training Course", while deepening the relationship between the partner associations and developing their respective skills through the exchange of knowledge and expertise. The second part will consist of developing and implementing the IPNA training programme. This is the subject of a new grant application by Erasmus+.
The project's two partners, D'Une Cime à L'Autre (DCA) and En Passant par la Montagne (EPPM), are both active in supporting young people in difficulty. Their practices are based on the principles of IPNA (Psychosocial Intervention by Nature and Adventure in Europe), developed in Quebec by S. Rojo and G. They were introduced to these principles by S. Rojo and G. Bergeron themselves. They consider it to be a powerful, innovative and topical tool for supporting young people who are or at risk of dropping out. They want to help ensure that the methodology IPNA is developed on a European scale and that it is incorporated into the practices of social workers for all the benefits it brings to beneficiaries (calming, self-confidence, self-determination, etc.) and in their relationship with nature. They also want to develop their own skills and networks of expertise in this methodology, and they believe they can achieve this through cooperation and exchanges of experience, knowledge and expertise. Carrying out this project together will enable them to increase skills and share the questions asked by experienced users.
