Objectives

The institution’s vision and strategy The Vision 2030 consists of 7 pillars that will define the strategy of our institution in the coming decade. Pillar 4 is very relevant in relation to this E+ project. 4. In 2030 we set the standard in Flanders as an international University of Applied Sciences. In order to realise the pillar focussing on internationalisation, Thomas More has defined 4 strategic goals: 1. We actively promote the possibilities of a stay abroad among our students and staff and remove impeding obstacles 2. We widen the range for short-term mobility and internationalisation@home and reinforce its quality 3. Our recruitment, selection and admission processes, support services and education equal international best practices 4. We create international communities and partnerships By explicitly incorporating an international component in the institution’s vision Thomas More demonstrates its intention to strengthen its profile of an internationally oriented University of Applied Sciences, to be a valuable partner for institutions abroad and to play an exemplary role for other Universities of Applied Sciences.
