Objectives

The primary goal of the project was to collaboratively develop a framework for formative assessment in citizenship education. This included mapping innovative practices, creating context-specific assessment tools, and empowering teachers to integrate these methods into their classrooms, thereby enhancing students' citizenship competences.

Background

The ALiCE project addressed the need for a unified framework for formative assessment in citizenship education across Europe. It sought to assist teachers in designing learning activities and assessing students' multifaceted citizenship competences. The project responded to the challenges posed by diverse curricular objectives, context-specific interpretations of citizenship education, and a lack of tools to evaluate skills and attitudes effectively.
