Specific goals for this project (when initially applied, pre-COVID): We wanted to strengthen participating young people in terms of active citizenship, solidarity, and this through an intercultural dialogue. Learning from each other, mutual understanding, intercultural dialogue and cooperation were the ambitions. The social environment of both groups of young people is very different and that ‘confrontation’ and the search for what connects us, is very fascinating. The Palestinian partners have a clear view that change doesn’t come from outside, but they want to rebuild their own possibilities. They want to empower youth to be changemakers, also through this international exchange. Goals of Tumult within the accreditation: 1) Facilitate encounters With this strategy, we are directly targeting children and young people themselves, with a particular focus on those who are excluded. The group exchanges fall under our strategy "facilitating encounters". This strategy contributes primarily to: understanding and respecting the existence of different frames of reference; the skillful dealing with difference and encouraging an equal attitude.
