Objectives

We have succeeded in collectively restoring hope and perspectives to young people by offering them opportunities for personal growth and development. Through activities focusing on creativity and artistic expression, they were able to regain a sense of hope and envisage a better future despite the obstacles. We also helped young people reconnect with their environment and community. Through spaces and activities conducive to social interaction, collaboration and mutual support, they were able to reconnect with their surroundings and feel part of their community once again. Community life is a space that enables people to live together in respect and application of the common rules of life. Meals, housekeeping, outings, breaks between workshops - these are times when everyone can find their place in the group, in the community. Collective reflection, exchange and sharing of resources were at the heart of our project. Young people were able to share their experiences, identify obstacles and discover available resources. This collaborative approach enabled them to strengthen their common understanding of the challenges and find more effective solutions by pooling their knowledge. A pedagogical and psychosocial framework based on unconditional consideration and authenticity clearly encouraged young people to express themselves through words, not to mention the artistic workshops which encouraged physical, artistic and relational expression. Finally, we equipped the young people with the mental and physical tools to cope with their situation. To support them in building self-confidence and acquiring new skills. Overall, our project succeeded in restoring hope, reconnecting young people to their environment and community, facilitating collective reflection and resource sharing, and providing them with mental and physical tools.
