At school we want to increase the quality of the education offered in order to meet the high demands of modern world through new skills and knowledge of different teaching methods. We have identified four directions in which to develop our school: -Enhancing the digital competences of our teachers to improve their teaching practices using different ICT tools -Strengthening the integration and inclusion of disadvantaged students and those with fewer opportunities due to personal difficulties or family and/or other problems: students coming from highly deprived areas, cultural differences and implementing desegregation policies at school. - Handling workplace stress and building a healthy environment to increase teacher productivity and avoid burnout, learning new tools and proven practices for stress management -Internationalization of education - sharing good practices and experience with partners from leading European educational institutions so that we, as a national high school, can find our place in the European educational space
The National Vocational High School of Veterinary Medicine "Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimov" - Lovech was established in 1946. It is the oldest professional high school of veterinary medicine in Bulgaria. Over 10,000 veterinary specialists have graduated from the school, proving that it has its appropriate place in the educational market. We are an agricultural school. Agricultural business is one of the most serious businesses in Bulgaria. On the other hand, the profession of Food and Beverage Quality Technician is related to nutrition, which is a human physiological need. After their studies, our students perform well on the labor market. Our class in dual form if education is in this profession. Children who choose to study veterinary technician specialty proceed the family business. The school gathers graduates from fourteen regions of the country. As a secondary agricultural school for Northern Bulgaria, the high school has the status of a school of national importance. After receiving the status of an innovative school with the project "Introduction of modern technologies in the teaching of parasitology and animal husbandry", our second innovative project "Technicians under control - symbiosis between two professions is in progress.
