The implementation of the current project under the Erasmus+ program has responded to the needs of the school, defined in the European High School Plan, namely: * meeting the needs of a modern European school and school environment *continuous qualification of the pedagogical specialists in the direction of synchronizing with European educational standards *use of innovative methods in the two main spheres of the educational process - teaching and learning, with a focus on applying digital technologies to achieve higher learning results *implementation of effective and creative general education and vocational training based on the principles of sustainable development *developing of competences for managing school policy for internationalization and implementing successful cooperation with partners from other European countries. The European mission of the school is aimed at constructive work with partners from different European countries in order to achieve high-quality general education, vocational and foreign language training, with an emphasis on the formation of competitive, adaptable and competent specialists.

Background

Taking into account the accumulated experience from various projects implemented over the years under European programs and the benefits of the European partnership, the team of the Professional High School of Economics "Aleko Konstantinov" realizes the importance of the added value of international mobility and believes that we must develop and look for new opportunities for internationalization , assimilation of knowledge and development of skills of pedagogical specialists and students as participants in the educational process. Through mobility, teachers have the opportunity to gain experience in adapting to the ever-changing learning environment by using innovative methods and techniques in the learning process. This appears as a prerequisite for increasing the quality of the offered educational services, and the implementation of such type of projects supports the development of the school as an educational institution. The current project created opportunities for the formation of competences for working in a digital environment as a factor for effective management of a virtual classroom, for creating and using appropriate didactic materials and resources, for actively involving students in the learning process.
