We wanted to adopt some elements of the acquired knowledge within our system in order to include the whole class of students by helping the ones that are inclined to stay aside to find their way to feel accepted and important. Whenever someone is hurt they evoke conflicts. We wanted to teach students what their rights are. Even though sometimes they are seemingly well prepared with a knowledge of their rights but not duties this is only the way they behave when they are in a safe controlled environment. If a real problem occurs, they often cannot recognize it. We wanted them to learn more about the schools and students around the world, more about equality and diversity, about what it is to be tolerant. We wanted them to learn what an active citizenship is by showing examples of people who make a difference with their behavior towards others, towards animals and nature, or a difference by putting effort into saving the environment. They show us what an impact even small good deeds can have, so the world would turns into a better place to live.
The number of students and classes at 163rd school is growing. As a result, the requirement for complying with the rules are going on a higher level. We are in search of new techniques to connect to the individuality of the students' needs. We adopt some informal methods of education in implementing the curricula, as we need to create an atmosphere of inclusion with everyone in mind. Students cross the threshold of a school and keep on carrying on their shoulders what they consider to be a problem or in some cases even lack of sympathy and attention from their relatives. Children that suffer, are often off to trouble making. They want to cause a problem, to punish anybody the way they feel punished or not attended. Some just sit in the corner and silently suffer. The efforts the teacher make to share the knowledge is lost if students’ attention is not focused on the subject matter. Therefore, before dealing with the scientific part of the lesson, a teacher has to create an atmosphere of tolerance and understanding – a work environment. The task is that each student in accordance with their talents, gets the most out of the lesson, acquires some knowledge.
