Participation in the current European project enabled teachers to improve their skills, to diversify teaching with new, relevant and interesting for students teaching methods. As a result, the interest and motivation of students increased and our school became more attractive for new students that would prefer Secondary School "Hristo Botev" for their studies. Participating in the training course would lead to the development of connections for possible new international projects where our students as full members of the European family would take part and would motivate them to participate in various Erasmus projects in their University studies or later in their life. For the pupils a learning mobility at school age helps acquire basic life skills and transversal competences, contributing to their personal development, employability and active European citizenship. The need and willingness to put further emphasis on skills such as critical thinking, intercultural skills and problem solving, which are developed via learning mobility experiences.
The main reason for this project application is to improve the professional qualification and competencies of the teachers at Secondary School "Hristo Botev" , Vratsa and to broaden the perspective of the students from the school. Students immersed themselves in a different language environment, learnt differently from their familiar way, and would be able to compare and apply the new knowledge n their own classes. Teachers will have the opportunity to measure their teaching experience and skills, as well as learning outcomes in view of modern European standards and practices; will have the opportunity for long-term intercultural communication with colleagues from different European countries and will improve their language skills; last but not the least, mobility in Finland and Cyprus will give both students and teachers the opportunity to see counties with different culture, traditions, science and languages, which have contributed to the EU's cultural awareness and citizenship.
